Department Overview Features and Strengths: With the strength of the Rakuten Point market, which has surpassed 3 trillion yen in total issuance, we are building the "Rakuten Economic Circle" through service collaboration with Rakuten Group companies and the introduction of cashless settlement services in physical stores, which are growing at an accelerated pace. Our settlement services can be used at approximately 5 million online and offline locations, including supermarkets, convenience stores, and shopping malls nationwide, as well as at approximately 1 million locations where traffic-related e-money can be used, and the number of locations where this service can be used is continuing to expand. The System Division handles everything from system service planning related to payment services, planning and implementation related to UI/UX, basic and detailed system design, coding, testing, and operation. As the service expands, you will be able to experience the planning, development, and operation of a very large-scale system. In addition, you will be able to improve our services by directly listening to the voices of our customers. You will be the producer of "Rakuten Pay." The services we develop are meaningful only when they are used by many users. We consider a producer a project leader who creates such services in close collaboration with business departments and engineers. In addition to managing development projects, defining requirements, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, you will also experience daily service management and improvement, as well as strategic planning for services, all of which are directly related to users and services. We would like to work with people who are looking for a proactive working style, proposing new functions and improvements, and thinking of new services, with the awareness of being a member of the service promotion team, rather than a passive worker. Why We Hire The scale of our business is rapidly expanding as cashless technology becomes more prevalent in society, and we are working on a number of large and small development projects. In order to strengthen our development system, we are looking for a new producer. Position Details <Producer duties> Analyze, report, and propose to decision makers as appropriate As a person in charge of development projects: ・Create business requirements and system requirements definition ・Project management and promotion As a person in charge of services: ・Strategic planning for services ・Collaborate with business side to plan service improvement ・Negotiate with external parties as a contact for services ・Maintain service levels Work Environment The producer organization consists of about 20 people. We promote operations by dividing into two groups: "Rakuten Pay (Smartphone Payment)" for consumers and "Rakuten Pay (Real Merchant Payment)" for merchants. The group has many mid-career employees. Our backgrounds consist of system development in web services, software, SIers, and the financial industry, such as credit card companies.

Required skills & Experience

Basic qualifications

・Experience in upstream process of smartphone application or web application development (requirement definition and design) ・Experience in project management of development projects ・Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Preferred qualifications

・Experience in business analysis and business design for development projects ・Experience in product management (managing issues and developing strategies for the products you are responsible for) ・Experience in the development of payment and financial related services ・Curiosity about new services and technologies, and a spirit of challenge ・Experience leading a team (more than 5 people including sub-leaders) ・Business level English
