The department has international culture created by excellent employees joined around the world and provides the cutting-edge data science. Following the strategic vision “Rakuten as a data-driven membership company”, AISSD is expanding our data activities across our multiple Rakuten group companies. Position Details We are looking for a Data Analyst to work within one of the following departments within our AI Services Supervisory Department (AISSD): - Data Science Consulting Department (DSCD) - Analytics Data Engineering Department (ADED) - Merchandising and Advertisement Department (MAD) - Catalog Management Department (CAMD) - Data Science & Analytics Department (DSAD) - Conversational Experiences Department (CXD)
Required skills & Experience
Basic qualifications
- Strong interest and understanding about data, data analysis, and making business value by utilizing data - Experience at a data analysis specialized company or in a data analysis specialized department - Analytical skills in utilizing data related tools or solution (Ex. SQL, Python, R) - Deep understanding of various business model in relevant businesses (see above scope) - Working experience of analytical research or strategic analysis - Capability for problem solving, strategic thinking, hypothesis thinking - Business level communication both English and Japanese - Balance of standalone capability and team collaboration. - Grit (Never give up mind)
Preferred qualifications
- More than 3 years of experience working at a business consulting firm - Experience of executive communication and presentation - Strategic partnership or investment related skills such as deal sourcing, valuation, contracting - Experience of new business development or business process designing
