Department Overview Department Overview The Leisure Product Department (LPD) is handling a lineup of lifestyle and leisure related services, some of them being category leaders in the Japanese market. We aim at growing globally and becoming world leaders through innovation and technology. In order to achieve this, we are now looking for globally minded engineers to contribute to the development of our services. Here are some of the services we are handling: Rakuten GORA : Golf course reservation service Rakuten Beauty : Salon reservation service Rakuten Keiba : Horse racing online betting service Rakuten Kdreams : Cycle racing online betting service Rakuten toto/lottery : toto/lottery online sales service Rakute Car : Automotive-related services Position: Why We Hire Rakuten Car is a new brand that covers the wide range of automotive-related services provided by Rakuten Group designed to meet the needs of car owners, including the purchase and sale of cars, car washing, and vehicle inspection. By merging these services into one brand, Rakuten aims to make it easier to understand the diverse lineup of automotive services provided by Rakuten Group, as well as lay the groundwork for strengthened collaboration between related services in the future. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager/Product Owner who is passionate about driving these business growth. You will join development team and work as a bridge person to connect business team, customer and development team. You will also design product strategies, do requirement definitions and run iteration cycles. Position Details - Gain a deep understanding of business strategy, customer experience, competitor and trend and development product strategy - Based on data analysis, plan a new project and do requirement definition - Lead the system integration project together with internal, business and development teams - Responsible for product quality and release products with development members - Verify the effect of our plan and run fast PDCA cycle Work Environment We have non-Japanese employees from more than 10 countries and you can work in cross-cultural environment. About 5 to 10 members are in charge of each service.
- 3+ years of proven work experience in product management or equivalent job for web system development - Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies, and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management - Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization and external stakeholders - Read and understand HTML and CSS - Skilled at data analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies. (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Java, MySQL, etc.) - Experience in marketing activities (SEO, Listing, Affiliate, Mail magazine, SNS, etc.)
