Department Overview Providing high-quality services promptly and maximizing customer satisfaction are part of Rakuten Group's core principles and is our most important business strategy. The IT governance activities necessary to implement this key business strategy are handled by members of the Group CIO/CTOs. Their responsibility is to develop, manage, and maintain operational guidelines for system and service design, report to management, and keep employees regularly informed. The IT Governance Group Manager is a position that leads IT governance for the entire Rakuten Group, as part of the section responsible for Standardization and Quality activities in the Technology department, in collaboration with the section responsible for Information Security and Privacy. Position: Why We Hire We are expanding and improving Group IT Governance and are looking for a dedicated professional to take on the role of IT Governance Manager. Position Details We are seeking an IT Governance Manager who will expand and improve group IT governance frameworks across the organization to improve productivity and mitigate risk. Responsibilities - Expand and improve Group IT governance frameworks according to company strategies and objectives - Manage IT governance team - Oversee the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and standards - Ensure compliance with all IT regulatory requirements - Work closely with other departments to align IT services with business processes - Promote Rakuten's IT governance awareness
Required skills & Experience
Basic qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in the IT governance field - 3 years of team management experience - 3 years of budget management experience - Native Level Japanese language ability (in order to read documents and communicate with Stakeholders) - Business Level English (TOEIC 800 or above) - Strong teamwork capability in a diverse team environment - Understanding of IT governance frameworks and regulatory requirements - Excellent consultation, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong ownership and sense of responsibility
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in developing and implementing IT governance frameworks - Experience in IT compliance and risk management - Experience in a diverse workplace, and ability to work well in a team environment - Holder of any IT governance-related certifications, such as COBIT, ITIL
