Business Overview/Department Overview Rakuten is the EC company. The business model of Rakuten Ichiba is B2B2C and we worked close to merchants. Also, we are focusing of the B2C model. And ECFD is a home of B2C model business in Rakuten. B2C model business can control the variation of the items at the store and increase the quality of the delivery the item to the customer. EC First Party Development Department (ECFD) has responsibility for developing and operating the systems related to B2C E-Commerce businesses, like Rakuten Books, from the frontend (user-product interface development) to the backend (order and product management systems). We are looking for Producers (Product Manager/Project Manager) who work together with us to launch/expand B2C businesses. Producer is a product manager (PDM) / project manager (PJM) who promotes development and is responsible for improving the value of Rakuten's services while cooperating with business personnel. ECFD Osaka branch side is developing/operating the below services, and if you join us, you will have the responsibility about one of those. - Rakuten Books Sub-services: - Rakuten Books Dashboard (Service for Publishers) - Rakuten Books Download (Download contents) - POSA (Pre-paid card) - Rakuten 24 (Daily necessities) - Rakuten Zenkoku Super (Net-supermarket platform) - Rakuten Fashion (Clothing) Position Details Take the responsibility for Planning, Developing, and Operating of the target service, and be required to perform the following duties. - Service Management / Product Management (Med- to long-term strategy / KPI management, etc.) - Project Management (Project KPI management etc.) - Adjustment inside/outside the team. - Web application product plan planning in line with business strategy.
- Can make actions with speed. - Strong desire to work across occupations to improve customer value. - High communication skill. - One or more of the following. - 3+ years of experience of project management. - 3+ years of experience of product management. - Experience of requirement definition of Web service.
- Experience of system design and development. - Experience of system operation. - Systematic knowledge such as PMP, CMMI, or ITIL etc. - Experience in launching new services or products. - Experience of management of diverse stakeholders.
There are a few to 10 members of engineers, project managers, and product managers, in each team. Some teams work together with Tokyo teams. Most members are mid-career. They belonged to software vendors or system integrators and they are working by making use of each experience. In recent years, we have strengthened the recruitment and training of new graduates, so the number of members who are central to development is increasing.
