Infrastructure Services Department (INSD) mission is to provide high quality facility, network, compute and storage services. We empower Rakuten by Stable, Performant, Secure, On-demand, Green, Cost competitive infrastructure.

・Data Center Operation Section: Management of the data center (domestic / overseas) used (including server arrangement and maintenance management in the data center)
・Network Section: Responsible for network integration and automation on global infrastructure platforms
・Compute & Storage Section: Responsible for developing and operating the compute network infrastructure in the data center
・Database Section: Responsible for stable big data, databases, and storage services with high expandability / durability (providing an environment where huge and diverse data can be stored, managed, and utilized)
・Application Platform Section: In charge of construction, stable operation, operational improvement / automation of in-house cloud k8s (Kubenetes), load balancer, service mesh, monitoring system, etc. to support each service
・User Support Section: Responsible for providing the service (private cloud) provided by the Cloud Platform Department to internal users (including problem solving and operation support for each service)
