Business Overview Rakuten Group, based in Japan, serves approximately 100 million customers domestically and 1 billion customers globally. We offer more than 70 services across various fields including e-commerce, payment services, financial services, communications, media, and sports.   Department Overview Within the Commerce & Marketing Company Business Support Development Department, we oversee various applications to assist the business staff running Rakuten Marketplaces domestically and internationally. These applications are part of the ASP service (RMS) provided to our store owners. In this department, we develop, operate, and provide systems to deliver announcements from Rakuten, receive inquiries from users, and analyze various data for stores on Rakuten Marketplace. Position: Why We Hire We are hiring due to a staffing vacancy.   Position Details As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for creating roadmaps, proposing improvements, defining specifications, and providing user education for the above-mentioned functions aimed at stores on Rakuten Marketplace. Key Responsibilities - Proactively identify issues, analyze KPIs, define requirements, and create roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders. - Prioritize feature development based on strategy and release features at the appropriate time. - Improve services based on customer feedback and data. - Lead the team to achieve project goals and an adequate level of quality. - Utilize project management techniques to control the scope, budget, and release timing of the project. - Facilitate smooth communication among team members and provide timely updates on status, issues, risks, and performance to management.   Work Environment We operate in scrum teams of 4-7 people per system. The team members are spread across Tokyo, Osaka, and Sendai, so the work is primarily conducted through remote communication.

Required skills & Experience

Basic qualifications

- At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role. - Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system definitions and designs. - Ability to identify issues within the assigned product and propose solutions. - Excellent communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in system development or product development. - Experience in a role with accountability. - Experience in improving internal operations. - Experience as a leader of a small team. - Experience in data analysis using BI tools

9:00am - 5:30pm (Every Monday, work hours are from 8:00am to 4:30pm due to morning meeting)
