The mission of the Container Platform Group is to achieve the following to support each Rakuten business.
- Provisioning, stable operation, and operational improvement/automation of k8s platform of the company private cloud.
- Stable operation of existing service (legacy k8s platform, mesos/marathon platform, cloud foundry)

・Manage Kubernetes clusters in multi-tenancy environments
・Manage and develop components around Kubernetes (both in-house built and open source solutions)
・Auatomation of cluster/node provisioning and auto healing
・Provide better support/UX to our private cloud customers
・Experience in large scale system
・Deep understanding of k8s/container and its operation, e.g. CKA holder
・Had experience in designing/developing web services
・3 years' system engineering or software development experience
・Proficient in Golang
・Experience with git
・Understanding of data structures/design patterns
・Basic knowledge in networking, especially around TCP/IP
・Basic knowledge in distributed system
Proficient in other programming language (Shell excluded) Deep understanding of Istio or other CNCF projects Understand the challenges of distributed system, and have read the following papers: BigTable/Dynamo/Spanner/RAFT/Paxos, etc.
