The Rakuten Group continues to expand its business, and the data platform that supports it also continues to expand. In addition to maintaining stable operation, various projects are underway for new expansions. We are looking for a manager who manages the growing platform, project, resource, and grow together with the company.

Producing great results is our mission (the most important issue).The main business contents for that are as follows.-Business understanding of assigned Sections and distribution / management of resources-Creating a team structure to maximize the results-Recruitment, training (career support), goal setting, evaluation, feedback of members (engineers)-Member assignment to the project assigned to Section and support for communication necessary to carry out-Proposal and execution of problem solving and growth strategy as Section-Collaboration and communication with stakeholders as a representative of Section.

Position Details

- Proposal and execution of problem solving and growth strategy as Section-Collaboration and communication with stakeholders as a representative of Section.
- Experience in development and operation of large-scale products-Experience in leading an engineering team-Project management experience.
- Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders-Experience in hiring engineers.
Any of the following experiences
- Technical support.
- Product management.
- Design and operation of IT infrastructure.
- Experience in making technical decisions as a Tech Lead-Experience in architect design of the entire system.
- Global team management experience.
- Data center design and operation experience-Experience in building and operating a system using OSS.
- Experience as an IaaS, PaaS, SaaS provider.
Each department has 100-150 members. There are few managers by hierarchy. (General Manager, Vice General Manager, Senior Manager, Vice Senior Manager, Manager).
Most of the members joined as mid-career entry. Based in Japan, India, US, and EU, a wide variety of nationalities and communication mainly in English .
